Coordinated Security Effort Leads to Breakthrough   

A coordinated effort between multiple security teams led to the successful recovery of a white Mazda confirmed as stolen in the Umbilo/Bulwer area.

Vehicle Located Following Information Received 

Earlier in the evening, a Blue Security tactical officer received information about the sought-after vehicle circulating in Umbilo. The officer located the Mazda and immediately relayed the position to supporting units. Umbilo SAPS arrived shortly afterward, and the vehicle and driver were escorted for further investigation.

Further Checks Conducted on King Dinizulu Road  

In a related development on King Dinizulu Road, Bulwer, a Blue Security tactical officer conducted a registration check on the same vehicle at a local garage. SAPS confirmed the vehicle was listed as positive. With assistance from Homeland Security, officers monitored the scene until the driver returned. Upon interview, the driver claimed he had received the vehicle for mechanical repairs and was unaware of its stolen status.

Driver and Vehicle Handed Over to SAPS  

The driver and vehicle were handed over to Umbilo SAPS, where the investigation continues.
