Armed Response

Location: KwaNgcolosi Valley
Date: 20 March 2025
On 20 March 2025, Blue Security received information from an off-duty Blue Security Community Policing Officer (CPO) about a truck parked on a remote dirt road deep in the valley of KwaNgcolosi. Given the isolated location and suspicious circumstances, Blue teams including the Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) swiftly mobilised to investigate.
Upon arrival, the team located the truck and observed clear signs of tampering inside the cab, indicating an attempt to locate and remove its tracking device. Recognising the branding on the truck, the officers recalled that the business owner was a Blue Security client from the Westriding area.
With the assistance of our Community Command Centre, the owner was successfully contacted. It was confirmed that the truck had been hijacked the previous day in the KwaNyuswa area, and the driver had already reported the incident at Inchanga SAPS.
SAPS Hillcrest members arrived on the scene as our team secured the location. The truck’s driver and owner later arrived with a spare set of keys, and SAPS officially took over the case.
This swift coordination between our team, the client, and law enforcement ensured the recovery of the stolen vehicle before further losses could occur. Another testament to proactive security and strong community collaboration.
