Stolen Vehicle Alert Leads to Successful Interception

A Blue Security tactical officer operating in the Kloof area reported that he had identified a vehicle flagged as positive on the SNIPR alert system. The officer began following the vehicle after it was detected by a SNIPR camera in the Pinetown area before it proceeded toward Kloof.

Tactical Command immediately conducted a registration check and confirmed through the South African Police Service that the vehicle had been listed as positive. Additional support units were placed on standby while the tactical officer continued monitoring the vehicle’s movement.

 The vehicle was successfully intercepted on Village Road with two occupants inside. The driver of the vehicle was detained on scene, while the passenger was requested to provide a statement regarding the circumstances.

Further processes were coordinated with the South African Police Service to continue with the necessary investigation and procedures.
