Success Report: Theft of Copper Pipe – Greenwich Crescent, Malvern, Queensburgh

On receiving a WhatsApp message regarding suspicious activity in Greenwich Crescent, Malvern, Queensburgh, Blue Security’s Armed Response Officer (ARO) was immediately dispatched to assist. The message described a suspect attempting to steal copper pipes from a residence.

While patrolling the area, the ARO spotted an individual matching the description provided in the message. The suspect was apprehended without incident.

Earlier, a street guard had informed residents and reported seeing a suspect attempting to gain access over a wall at a property in Greenwich Crescent. The street guard’s quick action in alerting the community and asking residents for assistance helped provide further valuable information. The ARO, having been briefed on the suspect’s description, immediately set out on patrol and successfully located the individual.

The suspect was arrested and handed over to the street guard, who had played a vital role in disrupting the attempted crime, for SAPS to charge.

This incident highlights the strength of community collaboration and the swift response of Blue Security’s team in preventing crime, and ensuring the safety of our residents.
