Successful Night-Time Operation in Umlazi, Three Arrested.
Blue Security’s Tactical Unit, in collaboration with SAPS MDOC, SAPS Umlazi, the SAPS Dog Unit, Metro Police and other security partners, conducted a two-phase operation on the evening of 21 May–22 May 2025. In the first phase, we followed up on information relating to a mass shooting: three suspects were arrested and two firearms recovered.
During the second phase, targeting house-robbery suspects in Umlazi, an additional suspect was apprehended and stolen property seized, including a television later linked to a Treasure Beach home invasion. Investigations are ongoing.
