Successful Vehicle Recovery Using ANPR Camera Alerts
ANPR Alert Triggers Rapid Response
Blue Security Tactical members, operating with a dedicated Roosfontein patrol vehicle, responded immediately after an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) alert was triggered along Wall Road. The ANPR system detected a stolen bakkie entering the area and automatically notified the Tactical Command Centre and responding members.
Coordinated Search and Interception
Tactical members swiftly mobilised and conducted a coordinated search of the surrounding road network. The stolen vehicle was soon spotted travelling along Middleton Road. Through decisive action and effective communication, officers successfully intercepted and stopped the vehicle along Wall Road without incident.
Handover to SAPS
The vehicle and the driver were secured and subsequently handed over to Crime Intelligence (CI) and Malvern SAPS members who arrived on scene to take over the investigation and processing.

This operation demonstrates the critical role of ANPR technology, combined with rapid tactical response and inter-agency cooperation, in preventing the movement of stolen vehicles and supporting effective law enforcement outcomes.
