Suspect Apprehended Following Attempted House Break-In

The Control Room received an alarm activation from a client’s property in the Greyville area. The client reported that a male suspect was on the premises attempting to break into the property and requested urgent Armed Response assistance.

Response and Pursuit    

Blue Security Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the location, where they conducted a full inspection and made contact with the client. The client confirmed that the suspect had been on site but had fled after being noticed. A description of the suspect was provided to the responding members.

Tactical members were mobilised to assist in locating the suspect. Shortly thereafter, a male matching the description was spotted running along a nearby road towards another residential area. Armed Response Officers and Tactical members initiated a coordinated pursuit.

The suspect ran into a property at a nearby intersection, where he was successfully apprehended by the responding teams a short time later.

Outcome   

SAPS was notified and attended the scene. The suspect was handed over for further investigation and processing.

This incident highlights the effectiveness of rapid alarm response, coordinated teamwork, and tactical pursuit in preventing potential property crime and ensuring community safety.
