Armed Response

Criminals don’t care who you are, where you are going or what time it is, if you have a car, bakkie or other modes of transport you are at risk of being remote jammed. Watch this video and see how these KZN criminals casually steal from a motorist’s car in Springfield Park.
Put yourself in one of these realistic scenarios. Let’s say you’re on your way to the shops, late for an out of office meeting or headed to a restaurant.
If you had forgotten to lock your car or ended up getting remote jammed, the return to your car would end in devastation, frustration or other similar emotions that go hand in hand with one’s valuables being stolen and personal space being invaded. Take this example of a potential car jamming that happened outside a business in Springfield Park.
CCTV footage supplied by one of our clients showed the casual nature of the suspects pulling up next to his car and proceeding to climb inside the vehicle as if it were their own.
It is unconfirmed whether this was a remote jamming incident or if the car doors were not locked.
From viewing this video it appears as though the opportunistic criminals were scoping the parking lot for unsuspecting targets.
Next, you see the suspects reversing into the parking bay, next to our client’s vehicle, and very casually proceed to open the driver’s side door as if they knew it would be unlocked.
The suspects spent around 30 seconds rummaging through the car before hopping back over into their getaway vehicle. From this, we can see that the thieves stole a cellphone and threw what they didn’t deem valuable back into the car before quickly driving off.
• Always remain cautious of criminal activity
• Never forget to check the door handle to ensure the doors are ACTUALLY locked
• Look out for any suspicious behaviour when you park your car
• Never leave valuables in your vehicle if you can help it
