Over the past several weeks, residents in Kloof have faced a wave of gate motor battery thefts. Thanks to proactive patrolling and intelligence-led work, Blue Security’s Tactical Unit has successfully apprehended the suspect believed to be behind the incidents.

Theft Hotspots and Community Impact Between 27 March and 8 May, a concerning number of battery thefts were reported across Kloof. Affected streets included Pioneer Road, Kloof Falls, Abelia, Impangele, Patrick Duncan, Krantzview, Edwin Swales, St Marys, Jerome Drive, and Bellevue. Swift Tactical Action Our Tactical Team ramped up patrol visibility and collaborated with residents to track movements and patterns.

Acting on gathered intelligence, officers moved swiftly to intercept and secure the suspect believed to be behind this targeted spree. The arrest is a direct result of ongoing cooperation between our teams, vigilant residents, and the SAPS.
