Tactical trek through Virginia Bush Trails to Track Down Stolen Bike

A chase on foot, by Blue Security’s Durban North Tactical officer through the trails of Virginia Bush, ended in the successful recovery of a stolen mountain bike on Wednesday morning.
“The incident began when a social media message was received just after 6am that a bicycle had been stolen from a home in Glen Ashley,” said Blue Security’s Durban North Tactical Ambassador.
“My partner, the tactical officer, who had been patrolling in the area immediately began a search. He soon spotted a suspect carrying a red bicycle and gave chase,” he said.
“When the suspect realized he had been seen he set off into Virginia Bush reserve,” he said. “The Tactical Officer called for backup and a search began through the trails of the nature reserve for almost an hour. Our team of officers were successful in locating the abandoned bicycle but the suspect managed to evade arrest,” he said. “The owner of the bicycle was delighted at the return of the stolen item,” he said.
