Vehicle Alert Triggered Through AGITH Surveillance Network
During the early hours of the morning, a vehicle alert was generated through Blue Security’s extensive ANPR and CCTV network, operating as part of the AGITH (All Good in the Hood) campaign in the Upper Highway area. The vehicle was suspected of being linked to multiple criminal incidents within Forest Hills and surrounding areas.
Real-Time Tracking and Coordinated Response
The vehicle was actively tracked in real time by the AGITH 24-hour Tactical Unit, which immediately coordinated patrols and response efforts across identified hotspot routes.
Vehicle Intercepted and Armed Suspect Apprehended
Through focused monitoring and rapid tactical deployment, the AGITH Tactical Unit successfully located and intercepted the vehicle at a nearby fuel station. The driver was apprehended and found to be in possession of a firearm.
The South African Police Service was notified and attended the scene. The suspect was handed over to SAPS for further investigation and processing.
