Armed Response

Good music, great company, and brilliant food are the recipe for a night to remember and they have it all at Durban’s trendy new spot – The Food Box.
The Food Box has been the talk of the town after a successful launch party just 3 weeks ago at 199 Peter Mokaba Road and is fast becoming a must-see destination in Durban. Launched by My Kitchen Rules SA finalists, Kamisha Naidoo and Pashi Reddy who featured in the second season of the series, in partnership with Peroshin, Reddy’s younger brother, and One Fifty Capital.
Moving away from the traditional restaurant set up, this venue has achieved a fusion of different styles, designs, and tastes, not only with food but also in the eclectic décor. Along with a great playlist and the occasional live band or DJ set, the atmosphere is upbeat and vibrant.
The venue boasts 7 vendors that offer a unique variety of fresh, innovative dishes and drinks – soft shell crab, Nashville-style chicken, artisan pizzas, sushi and a creative new take on waffles, to name a few. One of the benefits of having multiple vendors under one roof is the long list of options that suit every palette.
• The Rolling Pin
• Kung Thai
• KoFu
• Salt (Some Addictions Long for Taste)
• SHOT (Simple, Healthy, Organic, and Tasty)

• Artisan the Bar
The Food Box is open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 7 am and 9 pm (till 11 pm on Friday and Saturday Nights) on 199 Peter Mokaba Road in Berea, with ample underground parking space, and is one of the few places in Durban that allow pets, so bring your friends, family and your pooch for some fun.
