BLUE SECURITY ARO APPREHENDS TRESPASSING SUSPECT IN DURBAN NORTH

A Blue Security Armed Response Officer successfully apprehended a trespassing suspect in Bailey Road, Avoca, Durban North, following a report of a suspicious individual seen looking into residential yards.
The officer was dispatched after a call to the control centre alerted Blue Security’s to a man wearing a blue overall and cap, reportedly acting suspiciously. While patrolling the area, the officer spotted an individual matching the description at the corner of Bailey Road.
Upon approaching, the suspect claimed he was cleaning the yard. However, he had no cleaning equipment in his possession, raising further suspicion. When the officer attempted to contact the homeowner for verification, the suspect attempted to flee.
With the assistance of the homeowner’s son, the officer managed to stop and detain the suspect before he could escape. The individual was held for further questioning and handed over to SAPS for investigation.
This incident highlights the value of vigilant residents and rapid response in ensuring the safety and security of Durban North communities.
