Truck Involved in Hit-and-Run Intercepted on N3

Area: N3 Marianhill Toll Plaza

A Blue Security Highway Patrol member responded to a hit-and-run accident scene at the Marianhill Toll Plaza on the N3 following reports that a truck had collided with a motor vehicle and fled the scene.

Upon arrival, the driver of the affected vehicle confirmed that the truck involved in the collision had failed to stop after the incident.

Members of RTI were already on scene when the truck was pursued and successfully brought to a stop. Blue Security assisted in securing the scene and supporting the affected motorist.

Thereafter, RTI officials instructed the complainant to proceed to the South African Police Service Pinetown Police Station to formally report the incident for further investigation.
