Two alleged thieves busted by Blue in separate incidents

Suspect arrested in Stamford Hill.


Blue Security armed response officers arrested two alleged thieves in separate incidents in Sea View and Stamdford Hill at the weekend.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said an armed response officer responded to an incident at a business premises in Morton Road in Sea View where he arrested a suspect at around 1.11pm on Sunday. “The officer arrived at the scene and spotted the suspect on the roof of the building. He managed to arrest the suspect and handed him over to the Bellair SAPS who attended the scene of the crime,” he said.
In a separate incident in Keswick Road in Stamford Hill, an armed response officer arrested a suspect and recovered stolen goods at around 5.55am on Saturday. “The officer, who was driving past the premises, saw the suspect jumping out of the property carrying copper pipes and parts of an air-conditioning unit. He swooped on the suspect and arrested him,” Mathios said.
The suspect was handed over to members of the Durban Central SAPS who attended the scene of the crime.
