Two Umbilo employees kidnapped

A gang of armed robbers abducted employees of an Umbilo business in the early hours of this morning.
Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said a gang of armed robbers driving a truck arrived at a business premises in Sydney road at around 2.24am under the pretext of having legitimate business to load goods for transportation. “One of the suspects in the truck pulled out a firearm and held up two employees who were on site. The robbers tied up the employees and bundled them into the boot of a white Opel with no registration plates before loading scores of truck tyres into the truck, ” he said.
“The robbers fled in the truck and their accomplices drove the employees to Kwamakhutha where they were dropped off. No injuries were reported,” he said.
Umbilo SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
