A coordinated operation between Durban Metro Police and various law enforcement partners led to the successful arrest of two suspects linked to a spate of criminal activity in the Hillcrest area.

The pursuit began when a vigilant Blue Security Staff Member identified a white VW Golf 6 TSI believed to be connected to recent housebreaking and theft cases. The vehicle was spotted in Hillcrest and tracked as it moved onto the M13 East, before merging onto the N3 East and later the N2 South.

Thanks to real-time updates from our staff member, who maintained visual contact and relayed crucial location data, Metro Police were able to intercept the vehicle at the Umbogintwini offramp.

Two suspects were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Hillcrest SAPS. They face charges of housebreaking (Count 1) and theft (Count 2). Authorities have also linked the vehicle to prior incidents involving the transportation of individuals suspected of motor vehicle theft.
