Alleged drug dealer busted with marijuana in Umbilo

An observant Blue Security armed response officer arrested an alleged drug dealer and recovered bags of marijuana in Umbilo on Youth Day.
Blue Security media and community liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the officer had arrested the suspect and recovered the drugs in Badgers Lane on Friday after he noticed two suspicious men walking down the road carrying two bags at around noon.
“The suspects ran when they realised that our officer was watching them closely. Our officer arrested one of the suspects and recovered a bag full of marijuana, which was packed inside in smaller bags. He was handed over to the Umbilo SAPS who attended the scene of the crime. Unfortunately, the second suspect managed to get away,” he said.
