Unruly Suspect Apprehended in North Coast Road

An unruly suspect was apprehended in North Coast Road by Blue Security. He was perceived as a public nuisance, who had been refused entry to a business premises for displaying antisocial behaviour.
“The suspect attempted to flee when he saw the armed response officers arrive on the service station’s forecourt on North Coast Road on Tuesday,” said Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios. “the manager onsite confirmed that the suspect had been exhibiting unruly behavior and trying to force himself into the shop after being refused entry,” Mathios said.
“The suspect had allegedly been on the premises the previous day and stolen a bag belonging to another member of the public,” he said.
“Information had also been shared relating to a prior incident at an establishment further along North Coast Road, where the suspect had been spotted removing items from a store without paying,” he said.
“The suspect was apprehended and detained, as he tried to flee, and handed over to members of Greenwood Park SAPS a short while later,” he said.
“Durban SAPS escorted the suspect off the property so he could be profiled,” he said.
