Crime Intelligence Network Pinpoints Wanted Toti Housebreaking Suspect
A slick and reliable intelligence network led to a successful arrest, early on Thursday morning. A sought-after suspect wanted for various housebreaking incidents in the Toti area was apprehended.
“A number of expensive garden chairs and other items had been stolen in a break-in at a business in Old Main Road earlier in the week,” Blue Security South Tactical Ambassador said.
“Investigations got underway and vital information was received of the suspected thief’s whereabouts. The suspect was also wanted for various housebreaking incidents in the Amanzimtoti area,” he said.
“An early-morning raid was planned once the suspect’s location in Iziko was confirmed. The Blue Security South Tactical Team and additional units swooped down on the suspect just after 3am on Thursday morning while he was sleeping. The suspect was positively identified. Thereafter, the team moved on to the location of the recipient of the stolen goods. He cooperated fully with the investigation,” said the Tactical Ambassador.
The investing officer at KwaMakhutha SAPS was contacted and the suspect was taken into custody. The search for a second suspect is still underway.
